He coined the term \u201cNutritarian\u201d to describe a nutrient-dense eating style, designed to prevent cancer, slow aging, and extend lifespan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His Nutritarian plan is vegan for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and NOT vegan for dinner. He offers an amazing number of delicious vegan and non vegan options on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drfuhrman.com\/recipes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HIS WEBSITE<\/a>. <br>I encourage you to explore all of the wonderful options at his website. He also runs a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drfuhrman.com\/etlretreat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">retreat in San Diego<\/a>, where people can learn to cook and eat nutritarian meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You don&#8217;t have to be vegan or even mostly vegan to enjoy the wonderful flavors in these nutrient dense recipes!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I offer two recipes here from Dr. Fuhrman here that I fell in LOVE with, a cream-style sauce for veggies, and a delicious, healthy salad dressing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>California Creamed Kale<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 bunches kale, tough stems removed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\/4 cup raw cashews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup hemp seeds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\/4 cup unsweetened almond milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup dehydrated onion flakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon nutritional yeast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><br>Place kale in large steamer pot. steam 8 minutes or until soft.<br>Meanwhile, place remaining ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.<br>Place steamed kale in colander and press to remove excess water. In a bowl, coarsely chop kale and mix it with the cream sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp; sauce maybe be used with broccoli, spinach, or other steamed veggies&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Walnut Vinaigrette<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\/4 cup balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup walnuts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup raisins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon Dijon mustard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 clove raw garlic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon dried thyme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><br>Combine all ingredients in high-powered blender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Medical Medium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Medical Medium Anthony William is a brilliant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalmedium.com\/medical-medium-categories\/recipes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">source for completely healthy recipes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have used his recipe for Nachos Potatoes many times at our house. We love the recipe as is, and have also added grilled chicken or beef to include protein.  The cashew aioli sauce is delicious on any cooked veggies!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nachos-Style Baked Potatoes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"440\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/nachos-potato-recipe.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8933\" style=\"width:364px;height:432px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/nachos-potato-recipe.jpg 440w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/nachos-potato-recipe-253x300.jpg 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Nachos ingredients:<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 medium potatoes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons&nbsp;coconut oil&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon&nbsp;sea salt, divided&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 avocado, diced&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup diced tomato&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup diced onion&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup cilantro, chopped&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd jalape\u00f1o, minced (optional)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 limes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup Garlic Cashew Aioli (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Garlic Cashew Aioli ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 cup&nbsp;cashews&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons&nbsp;olive oil&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 garlic cloves&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 lemons&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon&nbsp;sea salt&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd to 1 cup water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0F. Peel and slice the potatoes into rounds that are \u00bc inch to \u00bd inch thick. Toss them with the coconut oil and \u00bc teaspoon of the sea salt. Arrange the potatoes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Leave space so that they are not touching or overlapping. Bake the potatoes for 20 minutes, flip, and then bake for 10 more minutes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the potatoes bake, combine the avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, jalape\u00f1o, and the juice of both limes in a small mixing bowl.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make the Aioli by combining the cashews, olive oil, garlic, juice of two lemons, and sea salt in the blender with \u00bd cup of water. Blend until smooth for a thicker aioli. For a thinner consistency, continue to stream in another \u00bd cup of water while blending.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrange the potato slices in a pile on a serving plate. Top with the avocado salsa and lightly drizzle the Garlic Cashew Aioli over the top if desired (save the rest for topping other meals). Whisk maple syrup, oil and water together in a measuring cup. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix very well until everything is completely soaked and dough becomes very thick (if the dough is too thick to stir, add one or two teaspoons of water until the dough is manageable). Smooth out the top with the back of a spoon. Let sit out on the counter for at least 2 hours, or all day or overnight. To ensure the dough is ready, it should retain its shape even when you pull the sides of the loaf pan away from it it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F \/ 175\u00b0C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place loaf pan in the oven on the middle rack, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove bread from loaf pan, place it upside down directly on the rack and bake for another 30-40 minutes. Bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped. Let cool completely before slicing (difficult, but important).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Store bread in a tightly sealed container for up to five days. Freezes well too \u2013 slice before freezing for quick and easy toast!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Help!
