Am I right?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My partner got a cancer diagnosis.\u00a0 It\u2019s curable and not for one minute did I experience any fear of losing him because my intuition is powerful and told me I would not lose him.\u00a0 However, I was unprepared for all the ways <em>my<\/em> life would change.\u00a0 Had you asked me six months ago if my relationship were codependent I would have laughed at you.\u00a0 I am FAR to independent for that shit.\u00a0 Or so I thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it turns out, I depend on him for FAR more than I realized or was willing to admit.\u00a0 He does a million little things (that I appreciate IMMENSELY) that allow me my independence.\u00a0 His innumerable contributions allow me the freedom to \u201csingle-handedly\u201d run three businesses, stay active, eat healthy foods, get plenty of rest, live in a fairly neat home, and enjoy the companionship of the magnificent Captain Boscoe P. Jenkins who apparently does NOT walk, nor feed himself.  Who knew?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"525\" src=\"http:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BoscoeStacks-copy.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BoscoeStacks-copy.jpg 750w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BoscoeStacks-copy-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AFGO for me in this was to move past some VERY limiting beliefs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had been telling myself, \u201cWithout him cooking for me, I don\u2019t have time to eat healthy!\u201d\u00a0 That belief opens the door to fast food, allergy foods, and eating habits that deplete my energy.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the eating challenges presented by chemotherapy, we now have foods in the house that we do not normally buy.\u00a0 The myth of \u201cnot enough time\u201d allows me to choose fast &amp; easy over lovingly-prepared &amp; healthy.\u00a0 If I am making a grilled cheese sammich because it sounds appetizing to him, why not save time and just eat one myself? (Because you are allergic to wheat and dairy, Cyndi!)\u00a0 He needs more support right now and I am delighted to be able to support him!\u00a0 So who has time to support me too?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But do I want my health to be dependent on him being here to cook nutritious meals for me?&nbsp; Do I want my health to be dependent on what\u2019s fast and easy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nope.\u00a0 I sure don\u2019t.\u00a0 So even though the day is coming when he will be cooking healthy, nutritious, delicious, amazing meals again for us &#8211; right now, I need to have my own back.\u00a0 So I have been spending less time blogging, and more time cooking for us.\u00a0 I choose to make two different meals when needed, even if it means something else goes undone.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My new mantra for 2021?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"784\" height=\"594\" src=\"http:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/rainbowFood.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/rainbowFood.jpg 784w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/rainbowFood-300x227.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/rainbowFood-768x582.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I intend to align my energy with my own healthy intentions first and allow the rest to fall into place.
