{"id":808,"date":"2019-04-27T16:43:23","date_gmt":"2019-04-27T23:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/?p=808"},"modified":"2024-05-15T10:44:03","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T17:44:03","slug":"hydrate-for-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/2019\/04\/27\/hydrate-for-transformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Hydrate for Transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I begin today\u2019s post with a quote from page 43 of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jen-Sincero\/e\/B001H6RV9O?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&amp;qid=1556379866&amp;sr=1-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"You Are a Badass Every Day, by Jen Sincero (opens in a new tab)\">You Are a Badass Every Day, <\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jen-Sincero\/e\/B001H6RV9O?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&amp;qid=1556379866&amp;sr=1-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"You Are a Badass Every Day, by Jen Sincero (opens in a new tab)\">by Jen Sincero<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cConsidering the fact that the majority of your body is made up of water; and considering the fact that the better care you take of your body, the more energy you have; and considering the fact that it takes a whole lot of energy to transform your life, drinking a buttload of water seems like a pretty reasonable request to me.\u201d <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering the fact that my mission is to empower people to become energized to transform their lives, and considering the fact that hydration is such a crucial factor, I would be remiss not to mention this essential element in my empowerment blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" src=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/water-1024x614.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-824\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/water-1024x614.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/water-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/water-768x461.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cyndicombs.com\/coaching\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/water.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is hydration so important?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately sixty percent of the adult human body is made of water.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/special-topic\/water-science-school\/science\/water-you-water-and-human-body\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"According to the USGS (opens in a new tab)\">According to the USGS<\/a>, the percentage climbs to 75 to 85% for our brain, heart, and lungs. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our bodies require a steady supply of water to help:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>aid digestion<\/li><li>keep membranes moist<\/li><li>cell reproduction (growth &amp; healing)<\/li><li>remove toxins<\/li><li>maintain joint mobility<\/li><li>shock absorption&nbsp;<\/li><li>produce hormones<\/li><li>communications between brain and body<\/li><li>regulate body temperature<\/li><li>deliver oxygen to our organs<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And as if that weren&#8217;t enough, it&#8217;s also the magic ingredient in body transformation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Magic weight loss elixir!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re one of the millions of people on the planet trying to improve your body composition, water is the magic elixir for weight loss.&nbsp; Its magic power lies not just in helping you feel full &#8211; which it does, especially if you are wisely getting lots of water in the food you eat by way of fruits and veggies &#8211; but because proper hydration helps your body convert food into energy in the most optimal way.&nbsp; Dehydration actually causes cravings for calorie-dense foods.&nbsp; (Staying hydrated = fewer cravings!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foods that help hydrate include cucumbers, apples, melons, leafy greens, celery, radishes.&nbsp; More<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/19-hydrating-foods\" target=\"_blank\"> info at this link<\/a>.  Try adding lemon juice or melons to your water for increased hydration. (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/healthy-lifestyle\/nutrition-and-healthy-eating\/in-depth\/water\/art-20044256\" target=\"_blank\">click this link.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This having been said, you and your naturopath, or medical doctor, may decide you need more or less than this amount.&nbsp; Listen to your body!&nbsp; That\u2019s the practice at the root of adequate hydration.&nbsp; When I was healing from the intestinal symptoms caused by eating foods I was allergic to, my naturopath had me drinking 120 ounces a day.&nbsp;
