Many years ago, I was renting office space from another practitioner. Nice enough guy. Good at what he did. Shared hallway vibes. All seemed fine… until money entered the chat.
He decided to move his practice after he found a new space that was almost $1,000 cheaper per month than the current office. Smart move, right? Love that for him.
There was still room for my practice in the new location, just… smaller. Cozier. Less “spread-out-and-breathe” energy, more “don’t bump the wall” energy.
So naturally, I asked, “Cool! What will my rent be in the new space?” He quoted me the exact same rate I was paying before.
I blinked. Blinked again. Then said something like, “So… you’re saving $1,000 a month and you’re not planning on passing any of that savings my way?”
He looked me dead in the eye and replied, “Why should I?”

WTF?
That moment told me everything I needed to know about his energy.
You see, I don’t need to win. I don’t need to squeeze every dollar out of a situation. But I do need relationships, business included, to feel energetically balanced.
And I definitely don’t need an energy vampire with a lease.
So I did what any self-respecting Energy Alchemist would do. I found a bigger space for less money, and I moved on with my life. No drama. No revenge. Just a hard ‘nope’ and a deep exhale.
Fast forward sixteen years…
So Why Am I Telling You This?
Because I’m moving again!
This time into a beautiful new space that feels aligned, calm, supportive, and has enough space to host a sound bath where my instruments live. A space that costs less, and offers more ease.
